This Cookie Policy explains how SvuseNet uses cookies and similar technologies on our affiliate portal and how they relate to affiliate tracking.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, and pixel tags. They help websites remember your preferences, keep you signed in, and understand how the site is used.
2. Cookies we use on the Platform
Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies are required for the Platform to function. Without them, core features such as login, session management, and form submission will not work. They include:
- Session cookies: maintain your logged-in state as you navigate the dashboard
- Authentication cookies: remember your login session (including extended "remember me" sessions where enabled)
- Security cookies: CSRF tokens that protect against cross-site request forgery attacks
- Two-factor cookies: temporary session data during the 2FA verification flow
These cookies do not require consent under most privacy laws because they are essential to the service you request.
Functional cookies
These cookies remember choices you make to improve your experience, such as report date filters, table sort preferences, or UI settings. They are not essential but enhance usability.
Analytics cookies
We may use analytics tools to understand how affiliates use the Platform — for example, which pages are visited most and where errors occur. This data is aggregated and used to improve performance and fix issues. Where required by law, we will request consent before setting non-essential analytics cookies.
3. Third-party & tracking cookies
When you use affiliate tracking links or embed codes from the Platform, end users who click those links may receive cookies set by:
- Partner tracking platforms: to attribute clicks and conversions to your account
- Advertiser websites: to track the customer journey and determine commission eligibility
- Ad networks: where permitted by the Program contract
These cookies are not controlled by SvuseNet. Their duration, purpose, and data collection practices are governed by the respective Advertiser and network privacy policies. As an affiliate, you are responsible for informing your audience about cookies and obtaining consent where required by law (e.g., GDPR ePrivacy rules, UK PECR).
4. Cookie duration
- Session cookies: deleted when you close your browser
- Persistent login cookies: may last up to 90 days when "remember me" is active
- Affiliate tracking cookies: duration varies by Program (typically 7–90 days, as shown in each contract)
5. Managing cookies
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block all cookies, block third-party cookies only, or delete existing cookies. Instructions vary by browser — check your browser's help section for details.
Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from logging in and using the Platform. Blocking functional or analytics cookies may reduce convenience but will not prevent core account access.
On your own websites where you place affiliate links, you may need to implement a cookie consent banner for your visitors in compliance with applicable laws. SvuseNet does not provide legal advice on your obligations as a publisher.
6. Do Not Track
Some browsers offer "Do Not Track" signals. There is no universal standard for responding to these signals. We currently do not alter our practices based on DNT signals, but we limit data collection to what is described in this policy and our Privacy Policy.
7. Updates
We may update this Cookie Policy as our use of cookies changes or as regulations evolve. Check this page periodically for the latest version.
